RV Park Rules & Regulations

At Backwoods RV, we have established the following general guidelines to help ensure your safety and your enjoyment, while in our RV site and the same to our other guests. Those who choose not to observe these guidelines will be asked to leave our park without any form of refund.

Backwoods RV Park assumes no responsibility or liability for the safety or security of guests/visitors and their personal property. Backwoods RV Park is not liable for any damage to or loss of personal possessions, vehicles, equipment, or other property; or injuries to any occupants or visitors while at our RV Park. Backwoods RV Park reserves the right to seek reimbursement for harm to or destruction of Backwoods RV Park property. Guests may be required to leave for failure to comply with RV parking rules, or any other activity deemed not in the best interest of Backwoods RV Park. Guests who refuse to leave as directed will be reported to law enforcement. In addition to any other reimbursements, fees, or charges that may apply, Guests who are required to leave will be charged the daily fee for the current day, and if their reservation includes the following day, they will be charged the daily fee for the following day.

 

It is impossible to have rules and regulations covering every contingency and situation and we reserve the right to update these rules and regulations at any time and without prior notice. Guests have the responsibility to inquire into any policy that may not be published in these rules and regulations. The absence of a particular policy from these published rules and regulations is not grounds for the granting of an exception.

 

For daily guests, all utilities, including Wi-Fi, power, sewage, and water will be included as part of the cost per space and are available for use after payment. Guests are responsible for hooking up all utilities.

LATE CHECK-OUT RV SITES:

A $10 late fee will be assessed after 1:00 PM.

After 3:00 P.M., a full day site fee is due. Late check-out is subject to availability.

If staying an extra day, the office must know by 10:00 A.M. (This is subject to availability.)

 

Prices are subject to change. Taxes are additional. A copy of your driver’s license will be kept on file. Backwoods RV Park reserves the right to charge all such reimbursements, fees, or charges to the Guest’s credit card or debit card, even if damage is discovered only after the Guest’s departure.

Rates & Deposits

 

Rates are subject to change without notice.

 

Stays less than 28 days are paid in full at time for booking. Full payment or enrollment in an authorized payment plan is required at the time of booking and is payable by credit card. By providing a credit card number, you are giving authorization for us to bill your credit card for the full amount, including any costs accrued while at the property, and outstanding balances not paid at the time of departure.  All bookings must be paid in full no less than 30 days prior to arrival.

 

Monthly stays require a deposit of $600 due at time booking and will be applied toward the first month’s site fee. Any remaining balance due must be paid upon arrival.

 

Cash is not accepted for any overnight stay.

 

Cancellations

Modifications (change of dates, accommodation type, site location, and duration of stay) may be subject to availability. Current rates will apply.

 

Refunds are not provided for early departures, inclement weather or amenity closure.

 

Reservations canceled within 72 hours of 9am on scheduled arrival date will result in total forfeiture of deposit.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The speed limit is 5 mph. Please observe our speed limit to ensure the safety of all our guests. Remember…there are guests with children!

 

One space is available per RV. All vehicles, RV, and trailers must fit in one space. No vehicles are allowed on the grass. Over-hanging must be approved. Two (2) vehicles, other than the RV, per space is allowed. All vehicles, RV, and trailer must have current License Plate and Tags; Trip Permits are not accepted. All RVs must be in “Like New” condition. No vehicle maintenance may be performed onsite without permission from Backwoods RV Park. Park staff are not allowed to work on RVs belonging to guests.

 

All vehicles must have means to move within 2 hours of any request. Vehicles in a state of disrepair will not be allowed to remain on property.

 

All vehicles must have current insurance in place at all times, including golf carts.

 

All visitors must check in. Registered guests and their visitors are expected to read and adhere to all Backwoods RV Park terms and guidelines. Guests are responsible for all behavior of children. All children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.

 

No sleeping in personal vehicles, or anywhere outside of RV.

 

Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am daily. Please be considerate of your neighbors at all times. No loud or unruly conduct.

 

Awnings are allowed only for one (1) space. Pop-ups are allowed. Tents are not allowed. No excessive storage is allowed. Personal items outside the RV must always be kept tidy and within the assigned space. Clotheslines are not permitted.

 

No generators; please use the 30/50-amp service.
Ground disposal of any drain water (gray or black) is prohibited by State Law. Wastewater from RVs (including sink water) must be disposed of into sewer drains. Do not put grease down the sewer.

 

Fireworks are not permitted at any time. FIREARMS and FIREWORKS are PROHIBITED. Legal/illegal weapons, fireworks, firecrackers, slingshots, bows and arrows, pellet guns, toy guns, or anything that could be mistaken as a weapon are NOT permitted outside of RV.

 

Alcohol may be consumed only inside your RV, by those of legal age. The possession or consumption of alcohol is prohibited elsewhere on the RV Park.

 

Unruly conduct, loud, obnoxious, or lewd behavior, public intoxication, or profanity will result in your removal from the RV Park, at the sole discretion of Backwoods RV Park.
Brandishing, open display, or use of firearms of any type, including but not limited to BB guns, air guns, and/ or paintball guns is not allowed on property.


Any damage or destruction of Backwoods RV park property will be reported to law enforcement and the guest will be required to leave the property.


Call 911 for emergencies. Please notify our Staff immediately if you witness any criminal or suspicious activity. Local law enforcement and Staff actively patrol the RV parking. Those who violate North Carolina State law or federal law shall be subject to sanction, including but not limited to criminal prosecution. Unlawful possession or use of controlled substances (drugs) is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

 

Trash: please dispose of trash properly in the dumpsters and trashcans provided.

 

Pets: Backwoods RV Park reserves the right to limit the number, size and types of pets allowed in the RV Park. No vicious or aggressive animals are allowed. No excessively loud animals are allowed. Pets must be housed inside your RV, and must be kept on a leash not longer than six (6) feet in length at any time they are outside the RV. Please clean up immediately after your pet by discarding solid bio waste properly. Pets are not allowed in any park buildings. They cannot be left outside. Pets are not allowed in or near any buildings, bathrooms. They are prohibited due to health codes. There is a $5 fine for NOT cleaning up after pets.


Smoking: Smoking is prohibited by city ordinance in all indoor spaces, including bathrooms and showers.


MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE, LIMIT THE LENGTH OF STAY AND THE NUMBER OF PERSONS OR VEHICLES PER SITE AND/OR EVICT ANY PERSON OR PARTY WITHOUT REFUND. BACKWOODS RV PARK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADD TO OR AMEND RV PARK POLICIES AT ANY TIME. ANY REFUSAL TO FOLLOW POLICIES OR LAWS MAY RESULT IN GUESTS BEING REQUIRED TO LEAVE.

 

Right to Relocate: Backwoods RV Park Management has the right to move RVs, vehicles, or belongings without notice or liability in the event of an emergency, or when the Backwoods RV Park Management deems it necessary to enforce these Rules, or to address abandoned Vehicles, Recreational Vehicles, and the like.

 

IMPORTANT:  Please be aware that for the safety of your RV, our property, and out of consideration for other guests, we cannot park you in the Park after dark.  Our deadline to check in will be the specified time of sunset for that day.  If you arrive after the deadline no refund will be given should you arrive after dark.

CANCELLATIONS: Our cancelation policy for a single reservation is 72 hours.

 

However, please give us as much advance notice as possible in consideration to other guests wanting a site. If you cancel less than 48 hours or do not show up without canceling, your credit card will be charged for the first night of all sites reserved under your name.  To cancel your reservation, please call 336-514-3780.

Please make all members of your party aware of these policies.

No Shows: Guests failing to contact us to cancel their reservation will be considered a no show and subject to the same cancellation policies.

Monthly Stay Policies

A current guest email address, phone number and emergency contact information must be kept on file with the Office.

General Site Appearance

Any issues or concerns with your site or the property must be reported in writing via email to the General Manager.  Photos are appreciated.

​

The following are NOT allowed on sites (including under the RV):

  • Fences or storage bins.

  • Concrete blocks to form structures or brace awnings.

  • Tarps are not permitted on camping vehicles.

  • Clotheslines or hanging of laundry.

  • Any items hanging from or attached to trees or pipe stands

  • Appliances outside the RV, including hot tubs.

  • Indoor furniture such as couches, recliners, and end tables are not permitted outside RV.

  • Carpets, mats, potted plants, etc. on grass.

  • Clutter and eyesores such as garbage, boxes, tools, empty flowerpots, etc.

  • Air conditioners not designed for RV use (i.e. window units or evaporative coolers).

  • Boats, Cargo, or other trailers are not permitted on site unless approved by management.

  • Sleeping tents.

  • Operating a business from your site, not including ‘work from home’ telecommuting.

  • Skirting, Patios, Decks, Storage Sheds, Canopies, and Screen Rooms

  • These are not allowed on a monthly site.

 

Landscaping & Decor

  • Flags of current nations, states, provinces, sports teams, military, and college affiliations are permitted. No other flags, signs, banners, placards or other visible displayed item(s) are permitted including political party, confederate flags, or flags containing profanity.

  • Any and all permanent landscaping improvements made to site by guest must be approved by Campground, including and without limitation to trees and bushes, and become the property of Campground.

  • Flowers, lawn-type ornaments/statues, and solar lights are not permitted in the yard area.

  • Exterior Lights

  • Light strings & similar exterior ambience lighting must be turned off by quiet hours.

  • No lighting is permitted that interferes with another guest.

  • String lights are only permitted if attached to RV, RV awning or deck.

  • Area lights are permitted inside of gazebos or screen tents and no other area.

  • Maximum of 12 solar lights and/or solar lighted objects allowed.

  • Solar lights are not permitted in the grass.

  • Solar lights may be used on the deck/patio and in flowerpots.

  • NO lights in or on trees.

Winterization

  • Guests are responsible for winterization of RV which includes disconnecting from all utilities (electric, water & sewer), replacing the sewer cap and stowing cords and hoses. Please advise Office if the sewer cap is not available. Campground is not liable for damages to the camping unit.

General Assumption of Risk & Liability

  • Backwoods RV Park reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. This is a privately owned RV Park facility, and failure to comply with these rules, the destruction of Backwoods RV Park property or the property of others, or misconduct may result in being removed from the RV park premises without a refund.

  • Guests may use the RV park, upon proper admission, at your own risk.

  • All Guests and their vehicles may be removed without a judicial hearing by law enforcement officers written notice for failure to pay full amount of space rental when due or for failure to comply with written rules and regulations of the Backwoods RV Park. Backwoods RV park assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or losses from any cause. The guest agrees to carry and maintain in full force and effect adequate property and liability insurance on any vehicle or recreational vehicle Unit brought into the RV park.

 

 

Limitation of Liability

  • Backwoods RV Park shall not be liable for the inherent risks of camping, or the actions or omissions of others. guests and Guests of the RV Park accept the privileges of using ANY AND ALL RV Park facilities including, but NOT limited to, common grounds within the RV park, with the understanding that they hereby release and hold harmless the Backwoods RV Park, including its affiliates, members, managers, officers, employees, agents, contractors, family members or volunteers from any liability resulting in loss or damages to property and/or injury to themselves or their guests. Backwoods RV park is not responsible for any losses due to theft, fire, weather, flooding, nature, wildlife, accidents. Entering upon RV Park property, or connecting to any water, electric, or sewer connection in this RV Park, constitutes acceptance of these Rules. Those who do so also release the Management, the RV Park, its officers, members, managers and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to guest’s and Guest’s person arising out of Guest’s use of the RV park and facilities. These rules are for health, cleanliness, legality and welfare of all.

 

Damages

  • Guests agree to pay for any damages to “Backwoods RV Park property,” which may occur because of the actions of such guests. Guests agree to immediately report any accident, injury, or property damage to the manager/staff member of the RV park. If a hazard or dangerous situation exists on the RV Park, Guests will notify the manager/staff of the RV Park immediately. Guests agree to take full responsibility for themselves and all people in their party, including minors and pets. If there is damage, missing or stolen items, or excessive cleaning required, the card on file will be charged accordingly.
